The reason - Social Bookmarking.
May Site Stats
During the evening of 26th May, Final Fantasy Series added its articles to various social bookmarking sites such as digg and n4g. (These links can be found below every post)
And due to the quality of the articles, Series’ traffic and attention increased more than 10 times over the previous days traffic in the month.

The graph above illustrates the importance of social bookmarking and we at FinalFantasySeries.net ask for your help in submitting these stories to various social sites. All it takes is one click via the bottom links at the end of the post. You can even bookmark the stories for yourself via rss feeds.

Already there has been a huge increase in traffic since the first submission, however we can get more considering the quality content we have here compared to other sites.

Keep spreading the site! - Thanks from all the staff at FinalFantasySeries.net

Site Updates: 18 May 2008

Where to start? - May has been an extremely busy time offline for many of the staff and viewers. Examinations and work has had to come first but nevertheless Final Fantasy Series hasn’t exactly been dead…

To start off the exposure of Final Fantasy Series has increased dramatically. The main reason has been the sumitting of articles to social bookmark sites such as digg and a higher interest from robots from google and various search engines. If you want proof just look at the Graphical Statistics for Mid-May. And I can say that over the past few days May’s results have sky rocketed further clear of April’s results.

Along with the great exposure we have had we have had a few good comments from various “fans” of our Final Fantasy site.

“The layout is great, the news is extremely high quality, and the whole thing just shines of high standards. Most Final Fantasy sites nowadays are just drama ridden s***holes run by crazy people. Your site makes me think of what a Final Fantasy site should be. A well written, fan-driven news site run by people with a real love for the history and it’s long living history.” - Michael (The Gaming Vault)

“I was on Yahoo and found your blog. Read a few of your other posts. Good work. I am looking forward to reading more from you in the future.” - Tom Stanley (FFIB)

Lets hope we can get a few more of these in the coming months :)

Before I move onto future plans, Series has undergone a tidy up. Particulary within the pages. To access your staff email account you can find the relevant link on the “Staff” page. The “Links” page has been altered and now looks far more presentable by just showing our affiliates. You also may have noticed a “Legal” page is now apparent. This will provide more information for our guests and keep Final Fantasy Series out of court if anything bad happens.

Right, nearly there…

I have some bad news and some good news.
The bad news is that I’ve decided to put the forum on hold. This is due to Im willing to wait for better intergration plugins and mods to use for attaching the forum to the website. Also I want instant impact once the forum is released, therefore more daily visitors are needed for this to happen.

The good news is that a new theme should be on the way this month, if not the start of June. Be ready because its going to blow your mind - hopefully…
And finally to help seal the wounds of the bad news, a Final Fantasy Podcast is being planned to hit you this summer. If you, or anyone you know whats to be a part of this please contact me via dean@finalfantasyseries.net for more details and suggestions.

Thats all this update, thank you to all the staff members for the work you’ve put in this month and the visitors. Good luck for whatever your doing offline!

Adios
