Square Enix Stock drops after XIII announced for Xbox 360

Square Enix’s stock unsurprisingly dropped in less than 2 hours after Final Fantasy XIII, previously regarded as an exclusive to Sony’s Playstation 3, was announced for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 as well.
With Square Enix Co Ltd already see-ing a drop in value throughout the year, this was worrying considering it was caused by a small stimuli. It was thought Square Enix could of been facing a back lash from Playstation 3 fans.
The red line on the graph indicates roughly when Final Fantasy XIII was annnounced for the Xbox 360.It didn’t last long though - Square Enix’s stock infact finished off high dispite the blip, must of been the after effects happy Xbox 360 owners.

maybe an FF7 remake will make my feeling change. i just dont know. i was so suprised today that i forget so many thign i did otday. And i admit i cried today.

Everyone feel like they been betrayed by Square Enix, but hey remember a time when Nintendo and Square were best buddies? You know the Super Nintendo? Remember when FF7 was announced for the Playstation and not the Nintendo 64?

FF7 sucks. Same with FF8. The last great FF game was 9 and 13 will suck now that its multiplatform

Everyone who was surprised by the fact that FFXIII is coming to the 360 is stupid. You know why? Because there are more 360’s than PS3’s and Sony is a company who wants to make money. Will being on a DVD ruin it? Nope ff7 was spread across 3 cd’s why can’t XIII be spread across 3 DVD’s?
Will the graphics be worse on the 360? Nope look at GTA4: the 360 had the better graphics.
XIII will be just as good as it would have if it was only released for PS3. All the PS3 fanboys are merely crying cause now they realize their system sucks and they should have gotten an Xbox 360. At least you got MGS4 (I bet it will eventually get released for the 360 though since Konami took a huge loss on it). I mean that makes up for missing out on Halo 3, Bioshock, Gears of War 1 and 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Mass Effect, the upcoming Star Ocean 4 and new Tales game right? Oh wait…
All the PS3 fanboys need to realize that the PS3 simply isn’t selling enough consoles or games, and SE needs to look after its bottom line.

FFVII was moved from N64 to the PlayStation as they didn’t want to diminish the quality of the game, for it to fit on cartridges thats what they would have had to do.

Sad, sad day for all PS3 but I remeber those good old SNES-times, where Square did exactly the same, or even the worse.
