Final Fantasy XIII to be released in EU before US?

Rumours are currently flying around referring to Final Fantasy XIII being planned for release in Japan and Europe (2008) before North America (2009).
Versus XIII also follows suit with release apparently being planned to hit Japan (December 2008) before North America (2009). However Europe is expected to see this title last on shop shelves.
There are however no rumours about Agito XIII, the other title to make up the confirmed XIII trilogy.
IGN seems sure these rumours are true and have scrabbled in the dates of the expected release.
We at Final Fantasy Series are less optimistic. Personally my head tells me a Mid-2009 launch for XIII and Versus. And perhaps a earlier date for Agito XIII – that is if they dont release all the games together. Whether it will be a simultaneous worldwide release is another question…

I think a simultaneous worldwide release is impossible if they are trying to release all the 3 games on the same day everywhere in the world. Things may get a little streched but – if they somehow (i dont know how) manage to do it, the exposure/imapct of the game will be unbelievable!

Personally I say SE needs to get on the Ball and show some stuff to prove that thier actually working on the FF13 games. Seriously its on the path to take longer then FF12 did. And what ever happened to the demo rumors? And that last few stuff they show behind closed doors (yeah real cool – _ -) Not to seem like a hater (i’m sure I do) but so far SE on the FF13 games have been nothing but empty promises.
I agree with Final Fantasy Series that FFXIII will lad mid 09 with FFXIII versus later and thats just japan. I expect late 09 christmas for FFXIII then some time in 2010 for Versus.
But hey, SE may reveal every thing at E3…oh wait, I mean Tokyo Game show. Well heres hoping.

I myself didnt make these rumours up.
However that doesn’t rule out someone else making it up.
My only proof is that:
“IGN seems sure these rumours are true and have scrabbled in the dates of the expected release.”
I don’t believe these rumours myself.
