Final Fantasy Agito XIII to be scraped?

Square Enix recently announced their finances for their 2008 fiscal year. To their dismay, they are see-ing a loss of 3 billion yen ($29 million).
To compensate for their losses, President of Square Enix Yoichi Wada says that they will be canceling a “revolutionary mobile development.” Considering all the reports of Final Fantasy Agito XIII have been extremely positive, and all haling it’s technical supremacy, Final Fantasy Agito XIII could be cut from production. The project it is up against is Parasite Eve 3.
Lets hope they change their mind if this is the case.
Wada also explained Dragon Quest IX is coming this fiscal year, but the game still doesn’t have a release date. He also commented that the DS is a great choice for the game, which could help 10 million copies of the game.

I personally cant see this happening. If they do cut Agito from the pack they might recieve a backlash of criticism from fans which could possibly harm other XIII title sales.

That will be terrible! The mobile game idea was awesome! I hope they won’t do it because it will certainly affect the company’s image.
