Fanboys need to learn respect
-
For those new to the gaming world, “fanboy” is a term used to describe an individual who is devoted to a single game, console or point of view.
The latest event to spark extreme “Fanboy-ism” is Final Fantasy XIII’s switch to Microsoft’s Xbox 360. This has left Playstation 3 fanboy’s furious that Square Enix will now share the game with Playstation 3’s biggest rival. But is there any reason for Playstation 3 fanboys to be angry and disrespectful towards other gamers and their console?
Whether the statement “Microsoft brought Final Fantasy XIII” is true or not, what does it matter? Is it wrong for a big company with a huge supply of money to invest in the gaming market? The majority of gamers would agree more money and investment is good for the whole gaming industry. However the minority of fanboys disagree, curse and hurl abuse at rival consoles and their owners.
Being a fanboy isn’t a bad thing, everyone has a preference and point of view. But it’s the minority of fanboys , like with Final Fantasy XIII issue, whom totally disregard and disrespect other gamers, games and consoles who are the problem. Simply Fanboys need to learn respect.
Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo may be the major rivals in the “console war” but never have they disrespected each other. The minority of fanboys however that do disrespect anything gaming are tarnishing the games industry and even their devoted game, console or point of view. Can’t we just all get along?

Thank you so much for bringing this up! I Hope as many people read this as possible! >.< Everyone wants to experience FFXIII, but not everyone has a PS3! I’m glad there’re fanboys of the PS3. But what about the fanboys/girls (in my case) who like the FF series itself?!

way to go to make a point using just one side of the coin Dean. seriously, let other person do your job.
what’s the point in having different console if all of them are going to get the same games. you should put more thought on the next blog or whatever you’re going to do.
