Famitsu Final Fantasy XIII Gameplay Magazine Scans Translated

    Thanks to FF-XIII the latest Final Fantasy XIII Famitsu Magazine Scans have been translated and new information gained.

    New Gameplay information includes:
    - A ‘cost’ system replacing the ‘MP’ system.
    - Whilst in battle you can apparently stock up commands and activate them all at once to release different individual attacks depending on the order chosen.
    - The stocking up of commands uses ‘ATB’.
    - The battle field is similar to Final Fantasy XII’s where enemies roam free.
    - Lightning’s weapon can be freely switched between a blade and gun.
    - Gravity is produced by a special item found attached to Lightning’s left hand. She wields her weapon in her right, whilst magic is cast from also her left.

    New story information includes:
    - The main enemies are those from the ‘Holy Government’. The bulk of the government is made up of ‘Gewalt hounds’, and ‘PSICOM soldiers’.
    - The mechanical enemy found enguaging Lightning in the first trailer is called enguaging a ‘Manasvin’. Its main attacking capabilities come from its laser and circular blades found on its body.

    The latest issue of Famitsu PlayStation has graced us with 4 new Final Fantasy XIII gameplay scans. Like the previous V Jump Magazine scans pigtails girl’s real name is revealed to be; Oerba Dia Vanille.

    Additional Information:
    Kitase has recently explained that Final Fantasy XIII will be a complete game in one package (therefore no downloadable content will be available after release). There however good news concerning game production. The first level of developing the game is apparently now complete, and as a result progression should now theorectically speed up. Finally Kitase stresses fans should expect huge advertisement referring toFinal Fantasy XIII, Square Enix aim to get Final Fantasy XIII on every gamer’s lips come release date.

    Wonder what their budget is for this game? – Must have a load of spare cash or good links with Sony and Microsoft to get enough advertisement.
